My lovely wife and soulmate of 51+ years passed away in the early morning hours of April 3, 2017.
My daughter Jennifer and I have been at her side continuously for the last 4 days of her life and had to watch her suffering, so we are grieved for the loss but grateful to see her at peace. She wanted to be cremated and it was her wish not to have a traditional funeral or memorial service. Instead, we will have a gathering of friends and family to celebrate her life on May 20th at the home of my son Arno Martin. Please do not send any flowers but if you wish, you could honor her request to make a donation to the Children's Home Society instead, a place she ministered at for years.

The artwork you see in this image was done by our very talented friend Sophie Binder from a snapshot she took with her cellphone at our home back in February.

Some of my favorite Cherie Images

Over the years, I have taken thousands of pictures of my lovely wife.  First with my 35 mm, then with a pocket camera, then came the digital.  Her ready smile made her a great subject, and she always held still for "yet one more picture".   I am so glad I took all those pictures.  I treasure the memories from 52 years of being together and these images trigger so many.  I've tried put this little slideshow in somewhat chronological order but wasn't entirely successful.
