Because of Cherie's fragile health, there was no large family gathering nor the traditional ornament exchange or the traditional Christmas food items. Instead, Rebecca and Arnie hosted us for a very special Christmas Day meal and fellowship.
Special, because of the fact that our granddaughter Summer came home from NYU and barring a miracle, this may well be the last Christmas we will have Cherie with us. Rebecca and Arnie fixed a standing rib roast for the meat lovers and a vegan lasagna for the vegetarians among us. Both were judged to be delicious. Lots of cuddles, some tears and much laughter marked this Christmas celebration.
Missed were our Denver siblings, who enjoyed the holiday out west.
